http://www.getchurch.org/cgi-bin/weblog.pl A Newsletter For and By A Community of Grace. en http://www.getchurch.org/cgi-bin/weblog.pl/2006/07/20#Prayer <P>Powerful God,</P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; As I seek to know You better, I realize how little I have known myself.&nbsp;&nbsp; I have not fully understood Your mercy, because I have not fully understood my own guilt before You.</P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; And yet, just as You called Abraham, You have also called me to a special purpose.&nbsp;&nbsp; Sometimes it is hard for me to understand that You would call me. I have done nothing to earn Your favor.&nbsp; I have even ignored Your outstretched hand – sometimes when I needed it most!&nbsp;&nbsp; And yet, You have established a purpose for my life before I was even born.</P> <P>Lord, right now I embrace what You have planned for me.&nbsp; I will &#8220;believe&#8221; You with my life today.&nbsp;&nbsp; Just as Abraham left everything to follow You, I want to walk where You lead me today.&nbsp; I acknowledge that there are works, which You have prepared beforehand for me to do.
