Sr. High Ministry
Hi! I’m Matt Collins, the Pastor of Student Ministries at Philpott Church.
Our goal is to create relevant spaces for our students to engage in authentic relationships. We have changed our structure to have fun but also build character and spiritual maturity into the lives of our students.
Our Sunday night program has now partnered with Greenhouse and runs from 6:30pm to 8pm each week in the Vine. One week is a joint time with social activities, worship and teaching. The oppossite week is our small group night with the guys meeting at the Vine and our girls meet at different locations through out the city.
Sunday mornings we meet from 11:15am - 12:30pm in the Vine for our weekly YBF (Youth Bible Fellowship) class. It is a gathering to connect with friends and build new ones, dive into the word and look to understand how we can apply God's word to our lives.
Then once a month we meet for a large social activity, a time to come together and just hang-out and have fun. Each event tries to be different from the last with the idea of relationship building at the core of every event.
Missions trips, retreats and and getaways are a big part of what we do here. Each year includes a fall launch, a winter retreat with Snowflake Youth Conference in Niagara Falls, a spring work retreat and mission opportunities.
